In August 2017, I listened to Ivajla’s performance of Chopin’s Etude op 25 nr. 12 broadcast within a Radio Interview with Ivajla. I always loved that Etude and Ivajla’s performance was fantastic. So I wondered if I could write such a powerful piece for her.
The result was this Prelude called “Andante Maestoso” that has come up with a different artistic message than the Chopin’s Etude but I like that because music must be always original and authentic and it must be the expression of the composer’s ideas and emotions and not the result of imitation. So, at September the 1-st, I put the sketches together and this is how a new Prelude was born!
